What Suena is

Suena is a language-learning app. You watch short Spanish clips with word-by-word captions, look words up, save them and review them as flashcards.

Educational content

Suena's content is for learning Spanish only.

• The clips are made for language learners and are fictional. They use AI-generated voices and illustrations. Characters, places and events are made up.
• Translations, word meanings and "Explain" texts are generated with AI. They can contain mistakes. Please use "Report a problem" if you find one.
• Levels and progress figures, such as "words you know", are estimates. We don't promise any particular result, and Suena isn't a certification of your Spanish.
• Nothing in the clips is medical, legal or professional advice, even when a story is set in a hospital or an office.

Your account

The app creates an anonymous account for you on first launch. It belongs to this app on your phone, so keep your Apple ID and device safe. You can delete it at any time in Settings > Delete account. See the Privacy Policy.

Subscription

Full access to Suena needs a subscription, bought through your Apple ID:

Prices are in US dollars. The App Store may show a different price in your country and currency.

• Free trial: the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Nothing is due when you start it. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts and $49.99 is charged to your Apple ID.
• Automatic renewal: subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price until cancelled. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before the end of each period, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before that.
• Managing and cancelling: subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not by us. To cancel, open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. After you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds: Apple handles all payments and refunds. Ask for a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a subscription.
• Restoring: use Restore in the app to get a subscription back on a new phone, under the same Apple ID.
• Price changes: if the price changes, Apple will tell you beforehand, as its rules require.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, download, re-upload, sell or share Suena's clips, pictures, transcripts or translations outside the app;
• scrape the app or its servers, or use bots or automated tools with them;
• use Suena's content to train AI models;
• try to get around the subscription, get at other users' data or disturb the service;
• reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
• put anything unlawful or abusive in a report or a message to us.

We may suspend or end access if these rules are broken.

Our content

Suena's clips, characters, including Churro the corgi, pictures, texts and software belong to us or our licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them in the app for your own learning.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Availability and changes

We work to keep Suena running, but it needs an internet connection and may sometimes be unavailable. Clips can change or be removed. We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do.
